MEMA FURNITURE
I spent a few days with MEMA Furniture in their workshop in Ouseburn, Newcastle, documenting the process of making their Toki Dining Chair from raw timber to finished piece. The series focuses on furniture designer and maker Jack, who handcrafts each piece using traditional joinery, sustainable materials, and a focus on honest, functional design.
This photo series documents the skill and precision behind each step: the shaping of wood, the careful assembly, and the attention to detail that defines Jack’s process.
A short film I created alongside the images is coming soon.
